nixos.dev provides (inofficial) services to the NixOS community.

• chat.nixos.dev

  Everyone that is a member of the NixOS organization on GitHub is eligible to using the Matrix homeserver nixos.dev for all NixOS and F/OSS related activities.

  Sign-in is done using OpenID Connect (OIDC) and requires public membership within the NixOS organization. You do NOT have to grant additional permissions to the Organization. Currently the GitHub authentication is done through an OAuth App registered by @andir. Since the application only needs to read your GitHub ID and the organization membership you do NOT have to grant additional read permissions - even if the GitHub UI might suggest that.
